Terms of use
In short. Studying is free and we will not put it behind a paywall. Ads pay for it, and $4.99 turns them off — the store holds that receipt, not us, so the purchase keeps its promise even if we go away. Everything you do lives on your phone and stays there if we stop. We can change the app and one day we can end it, and if we do we will say so first. The app is a study guide, not official study material: its questions come from a curated data set we assemble and maintain ourselves; they are not the exam, not the licence and not the certificate, and no one guarantees you pass.
Who you are agreeing with
These terms are between you and Manaforge, who makes the app and runs this website. Using the app or this site means you accept them. The app asks you as well: its opening screen carries both this page and the privacy policy, and says that its one button is the agreement. You meet it the first time the app runs, and again whenever these change in a way that matters. If you do not agree, the remedy is simple and complete: delete the app. Your privacy is covered separately, by our privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
What you may do with the app
Use it, on any device you own, for as long as you like — to study, at work or at home. We are not licensing you the app's insides: do not sell it, rent it, republish it, take it apart or work backwards from it to rebuild it, except where the law says you may, whatever we write here. You keep no rights you did not have, and we keep everything we did.
The free app
The studying is free. Every quiz in the catalogue, every question, your results and your stats — free, with no account, no trial and no meter. We do not intend to change that: if the app is here, the studying is free, and a paywall in front of a quiz is not a thing we plan to build.
Ads are how that is paid for, and there are two places for them and only two — before Stats opens, and before a quiz starts, where you can decline with “Not now”. What ads may see is in the privacy policy.
“Free” is a promise about price, not a promise that the service runs forever. The section on changing and ending the app says what we can do and what we will do first.
Going ad-free
$4.99, once, and the ads stop — and the one quiz the free app keeps on your phone becomes as many as you like. It is a one-off purchase through the App Store or Google Play, on the device account that bought it, and it is not a subscription: nothing renews and nothing is charged again.
What “forever” means. It means the life of the app, not the length of yours, and not a promise that the app is immortal. Within that, it is unconditional: no expiry, no renewal, no second charge, and no clause here that takes it back.
It does not depend on us. The store takes the payment and holds the receipt; the app asks Apple or Google what you own, not our server. So the purchase survives us: if this service went dark tomorrow, ads would stay off on every phone that bought it, with nothing left running for us to switch off. “Restore purchases” in the app puts it back on a new phone, and works the same way.
Refunds are the store's. Apple and Google take them and decide them under their own policies, and neither of them asks us — a refund simply takes the purchase away again the next time the app checks. If a purchase went wrong, write to support@manaforge.co and we will help you where we can, but we cannot refund a payment we never received.
A curated data set
The app is not official licence, certificate or examination material. It is a study guide: every question in it comes from a curated data set that we assemble, check and maintain ourselves, and it should be treated as a study guide — not as the exam, not as the licence or the certificate, and not as anything a certification body, licensing authority, school or examination board has published, endorsed or approved.
The questions are practice, not the exam: they are not real exam questions, not remembered or recovered exam questions, and not obtained from anyone who sat one. We will not publish material like that, and we will remove anything shown to be it.
So: we do not guarantee that you pass anything. A score in the app predicts nothing, an exam outline can change under us, and no certification body, licensing authority or school owes you anything on our say-so. Study the official material too.
The certifications, licences, examinations and subjects named in the app, and the names and logos of the organisations behind them, belong to those organisations. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or approved by any of them, and we do not claim to be. Where we name one it is to say what a quiz is about — nothing more.
The data set, the app and this site are ours. You may study with them, screenshot a question for yourself, and quote one to a colleague. Copying the data set out — by hand, by script, or by any other means — to publish, sell or train on is not use we allow.
While the data set is curated from appropriate and eligible sources - AI-generated educational content may contain inaccuracies and should be independently verified.
What is yours
Your results, your saved quizzes, your stats and your backups are yours. They live on your phone, we do not hold a copy, and we could not hand them over or lose them if we tried — which is also why we cannot recover them for you. Take a backup from Stats and keep it somewhere you trust. The privacy policy has the detail.
Fair use of the service
The app fetches quizzes from a small service with modest limits, and those limits are per person, not per fleet. Do not scrape it, mirror it, hammer it, work around its limits, or point something automated at it; do not use it to break a law or anyone's rights; do not try to reach parts of it that are not offered to you. If something you are building needs more than the app asks for, write to support@manaforge.co and ask — the answer may well be yes.
Changing the app, and ending it
We change the app: features arrive, features go, quizzes are added and corrected, and a question you saw last month may read differently today. We may also change or withdraw the service behind it, and one day we may stop it altogether. That is ordinary, and we would rather say it plainly here than surprise you with it later.
If we do stop, this is what we will do. We will say so on this page and in the app's release notes before it happens, as early as we reasonably can. We will not take a last payment on the way out. And we will leave your phone alone: nothing here reaches over and deletes anything.
And this is what still works. The app on your phone keeps working without us. Saved quizzes are kept whole on the device and can be taken with no connection at all; your results, your stats and the Backup button do not touch our service. The ad-free purchase, as above, is the store's and not ours. What ends is the catalogue: no new quizzes, and search stops finding what you have not already saved. So the honest shape of a shutdown is that the app stops growing — not that it stops.
Ending it from your side
Delete the app. That is the whole of it — no account to close, no email to send, nothing of yours left with us. Take a backup first if you want to keep your history. We may end your use of the service if you break the fair-use section above, which in practice means the limits stop answering you.
No warranty
The app, the questions and this site are provided as they are, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise the service is uninterrupted, error-free or always available, that every question is free of mistakes, that a citation still points where it did, or that the app fits any particular purpose of yours. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim the implied warranties too — merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Some places do not allow that, and where yours does not, this section applies as far as it can and no further. Nothing here takes away a consumer right your law gives you and does not let you waive.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss — including a failed exam, a lost fee, lost time, lost earnings, or data you did not back up. Our total liability to you is limited to what you have actually paid us, which for nearly everyone is nothing and at most is $4.99.
That limit is honest about what this is: a $4.99 app with no account and no copy of your data. It does not touch liability that cannot lawfully be limited — fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence — and it does not touch consumer rights your law gives you regardless.
Age
The app is study material for certifications, licences and school and college subjects, and is meant for people aged 13 and over, or 16 in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. It is not directed at younger children, and it collects nothing from anyone.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. If you use the app as a consumer somewhere else, you keep the rights and the courts your own law gives you — nothing here signs those away. If a part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
Changes to these terms
We post any change here and move the date at the top. A change that matters is also noted in the app's release notes, under About and changes, and the app opens on its first screen again, where the button is the agreement, before you go on. Using the app after a change means you accept it; if you do not, delete the app. We will not change these terms to take the ad-free purchase back.
