Where ads appear
There are two places for ads, and only two: a short ad before Stats opens, at most once every 20 minutes, and an ad before a quiz starts, which you can decline. Nothing is ever shown on the start screen, in search or beside a question. If an ad cannot load, or you are offline, the app simply carries on.
Going ad-free
One purchase, bought once through the App Store or Google Play, turns ads off forever and lets you save as many quizzes as you like. There is no subscription and no account.
On a new phone
Open Stats — the profile button at the top right — and tap Restore purchases. The app asks the store what you own, and ads stay off from then on. The app checks again every time it starts.
